This was the final version of the program to be released. The codebase is no longer worked on or supported.
Please upgrade to the new Ascgen dotNET, an open-source rewrite with superior output, adjustments applied in real-time, and support for variable width font conversions.
ASCII Generator Console v1.0, released 6th October 2001
As requested, this is the basic engine of the ASCGEN with a command line interface.
Because of the Windows specific functionality the conversion classes use to convert the images, this program will only run from a command prompt in Windows.
Please make sure you read the included text file for the parameters that this program can take. If you set it up correctly, the output is identical to the output from the gui version.
